Archangel Air Show

In September 2008 the Hellenic Air Force (Greek Air Force) held a smaller version of their much praised Archangel 2005 air show at Tanagra Air Base (40km NNW of Athens).

Frank Grealish and Joe McDermott went along to report on the activity at a very hot Tanagra.

This show had no foreign aircraft flying displays although aircraft from all over Europe were in the static display. Even though the aircraft in the flying display were all Greek, the presence of T-2 Buckeye's, A-7 Corsair II's, F-4 & RF-4 Phantom II's in the air along with similar examples in the static display more than made up for the lack of non-Greek flyers.
