Birr Air Display 2017

The Birr Air Display took place on the August Bank Holiday Monday, highlights of the show included an Irish Coastguard Sikorsky S-92, a Garda Air Support Unit (GASU) Eurocopter EC135 helicopter, Eddie Goggins tumbling through the sky in a CAP 231, and Dave Bruton in a Sukhoi Su-26.
UK based acts that appeared included the Breitling Wingwalkers flying a pair of Boeing Stearman biplanes, Team Raven flying Vans RV-8s and Richard Goodwin in his Anana Muscle Biplane, a much modified Pitts Special.
As is typical for an air show in Ireland, rain was never far away, but in between the showers, the sun and cloud formations made for some interesting backdrops.
