Comments: This aircraft has had a colourful history having been originally a CV-340, then a CV-440 and converted during 1969 to a 580. History shows it as being damaged by fire in 1955, rebuilt in 1956. W/O in 1983. Rebuilt again. Has had numerous owners and joined Air Chatams May 1996 and is still one of three passenger carrying Convairs in use in New Zealand.
